The short version
We're a neighborhood mechanic shop. We collect the information we need to fix your vehicle, contact you about it, and remember you the next time you come in. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone who isn't directly helping us run the shop.
What we collect
- Contact details — your name, phone number, and email so we can reach you about your appointment, an estimate, or a follow-up.
- Vehicle details — year, make, model, mileage, VIN (when needed for parts), and a written record of the work we've done.
- Payment information — handled in person by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number on our servers.
- Website usage — basic analytics (pages viewed, device type, approximate region) to keep the site fast and easy to use. No cross-site advertising trackers.
How we use it
Strictly to do the work in front of us — schedule your appointment, look up your service history, order the right parts, send you a written estimate, and follow up after the job. We'll occasionally send service reminders (oil interval, tire rotation, state inspection) which you can opt out of any time by replying STOP, clicking unsubscribe, or just calling and asking.
Who sees it
Only the people who need to: our service writers, our techs, and the small set of vendors who run the shop's tools (scheduling software, payment processor, parts suppliers, SMS provider). We don't sell your data, we don't rent it, and we don't hand it to advertisers.
We will share information when the law requires it — for example, a subpoena, a warrant, or a manufacturer recall lookup tied to your VIN.
How long we keep it
Your service history stays on file for as long as you're a customer plus seven years after your last visit, which is what Texas tax and warranty rules expect. You can ask us to delete your contact information sooner — your repair history may need to stay on file to honor warranty work.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file.
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Opt out of service reminders at any time.
- Ask us to delete your contact information (we'll keep the minimum needed for warranty / tax records).
Just call or email us — there's no special form. If you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, or another state with a privacy statute, the same rights apply.
Text messages (SMS)
Text reminders and appointment confirmations are opt-in only. We'll only text you if you give us your number for that purpose at booking, sign up for reminders in person, or reply to start the conversation. Standard message and data rates from your carrier apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. We don't share or sell your phone number with any third party for their own marketing.
Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults — vehicle owners and the family members who help look after a vehicle. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child under 13 has given us their information, please call or email us and we'll delete it from our records.
Cookies & analytics
Our website uses a small set of first-party cookies to remember things like which tires you were comparing. We don't use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or session-replay tools. Analytics are aggregated and anonymized — we can't tie a page view back to a named individual.
Changes
If we make a meaningful change to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page. Material changes that affect existing customers will be noted in your next appointment confirmation as well.
This page is general information about how the shop handles customer data. It isn't legal advice. If you need a binding written notice for a specific situation, ask us in person and we'll be glad to provide one.
